AEL Team

1st Grade - Adults

Our AEL team competes within the Athletic Equestrian League in New England. Its a fun laid back atmosphere from 1st grade through adult riders. Each show consists of 3 phases: Flat, over fences, and practicum.

  • Flat rides: You pull a horses name out of a hat and compete in a traditional hunters flat class.

  • Over fences: A course any height from walk trot groud poles to 2’6. Each course specifies a patter and an order of gaits to each fence. You ride the same horse as on the flat immediately after.

  • Practicum: A short verbal horsemanship test. This quizzes riders on different aspects of practical horse care and knowledge such as breeds, vital signs, and training aides.

Our close knit team often practices for 2 hours Saturday nights and competes a few times throughout the school year. Our team often goes to mcdonalds after practice every weekend and carpools to every show together. For more information About AEL go to: https://www.athleticequestrian.com

UML Equestrian IHSA Team

As of fall 2019, ATOME became home to UMASS Lowell’s Hunt Seat Club equestrian team. They compete in IHSA in the hunter jumpers as a part of Zone 1 Region 4. Their team competed with 11 members registered for the 20-21 season. They often carpool to group lessons from their campus in Lowell to ATOME in Pepperell.

The team offers opportunities to ride for students at all levels of experience. Additionally within UML’s equestrian team options for graduate students and non-competing members are possible. With any Questions reach out to Meg or umlequestrian@gmail.com

Weekend Warriors

All levels & Interests

Our philosophy is that showing is supposed to be fun!

We cater to the first time leadliner to High School eventers & Adult hunter pace riders. Whatever type of event you want to ride in we can find something for you! In the past we’ve competed in 2 & 3 phase eventing shows across New England. Additionally students have found individual hunter, jumper, and hunter pace events to ride at. Meghan has lots of experience in showing in New England, she can find any level competition for any riders comfort zone.

Showing not your Style? We compete often go trail riding, cross country schooling, and compete in Hunter Paces. There's something for everyone!
